Our Production, Processing and Sales Process
1st stage
Production of the gas-condensate mixture at the North-Urengoy field.
Using our own gas-gathering system, a mixture of gas and condensate is supplied to the complex gas treatment plant, also owned by us.
2nd stage
The complex gas treatment plant is used to separate gas and gas condensate.
The separated gas is transmitted through our own gas pipeline to a point where it joins the main gas pipeline owned by Gazprom.
The gas condensate is transmitted through our own condensate pipeline to the point where it joins the Yamburg-Urengoy condensate pipeline (owned by Surgutgazprom). The condensate travels through this pipeline to the condensate pre-transportation preparation plant, owned by Urengoygazprom.
3rd stage
The gas condensate is de-ethanized at the condensate pre-transportation preparation plant on a give and take basis. The gas condensate output from this plant typically yields:
- de-ethanized gas – 14.7% (commercial output)
- de-ethanized condensate - 84%
- consumed in production or otherwise unusable – 1.3%
The de-ethanized gas is then added to the main Gazprom system where it is sold along with the initially separated gas.
4th stage
From the condensate pre-transportation preparation plant the de-ethanized condensate travels via the Urengoy-Surgut condensate pipeline (owned by Surgutgazprom) and sent to the Surgut condensate stabilization plant (also owned by Surgutgazprom). The de-ethanized condensate is processed at this plant on a give and take basis, with the final products obtained being a range of liquefied gases, gas-condensate distillate, stable gas condensate, and diesel fuel.
5th stage
The output products are marketed as follows:
- Separation gas and de-ethanized gas is sold to end users at the Gazprom main pipeline inlet accounting assemblies.
- Processed condensate products for the domestic market are sold on a basis of ex the Surgut condensation stabilization plant.
- Export condensate products are sold on EXW (for gas-condensate distillate and diesel fuel) and DAF (for stable condensate, as an oil though the Transneft pipeline system) terms.
